This is an important reminder to members which still have storm shutters in the closed/secured position or storm panels installed that they should be opened/unsecured if they have the accordion/roll down shutters or uninstalled if they are panels. It has been 30 days since Hurricane Irma has come and gone, yet many members still have their shutters closed or installed. This is a health and safety issue and our rules & regulations prohibit this beyond the officially declared hurricane season or unless hurricane conditions are expected to occur within 36 hours unless the unit is unoccupied in which case the member should have contacted the property manager. We ask members to please take action promptly to avoid fines. Members which are unable to comply due to health or other issues and need someone that can assist them in removal are asked to contact the property manager.
