Hurricane Matthew Preparations

Given the current projected path of Hurricane Matthew, which is moving towards South Florida, forecast models generally project it to pass very close to us, but that could change quickly and at the very least we can expect substantial rain and wind as it passes by us.  We hope that members have taken precautions early by securing their homes and any exterior items such as lawn furniture, garbage/recycle containers and any other loose items that can become projectiles are put away.  Any resident having any questions or concerns about issues in the community that relate to the coming storm are asked to contact us or the property manager.  The Board of Directors and Property Manager have gone through the community several times this week to ensure that any unauthorized bulk trash placed outside of homes was removed by homeowners before the storm arrives to ensure the safety of our membership. Members of the Board will be on hand after the storm passes to check for any possible damage caused by the storm.  This Friday's curbside garbage collection has been cancelled according to MDC Emergency Operations Center, service will resume on Tuesday, October 11th.  Please keep informed and up to date by periodically checking Miami Dade County's EOC located at: http://www.miamidade.gov/emergency/ or Nextdoor.com.
