Car break-ins/thefts where reported by at least 5 homeowners living on SW 111th LN. The events occurred on the night of 8/2/2015. In all instances, it seems that the owners did not have their cars locked. The individual(s) responsible for these thefts rummaged through the cars glove compartments and other spaces and took random items of little or no value except in one case where a gas card was taken and used later the next day.
Don't become a victim. Homeowners are asked that they check their cars are locked and ensure that items of value are not left in their cars before turning in for the night. The individuals responsible are looking for easy targets. Although some of the stolen items seem inconsequential, there is a possibility that the some of the items taken could be used to commit identity theft.
