On the 24th of February, there was a reported break-in at 10 in the morning at the Corner of 123rd PL & 111th Lane. The homeowner observed a dark blue BMW leaving the location as they arrived. Detectives apprehended a suspect a few days later in Coconut Grove as they were breaking into another home. The suspect was driving a similar vehicle. Unfortunately law enforcement was unable to recover any personal property lost to the thief.
We ask that all residents remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities that they observe in the community to law enforcement as well as our management company. Be especially vigilant for vehicles which seem to be going around slowly as if casing homes in the community. The board is also looking into the possibility of starting a Neighborhood Crime Watch program in the community to deter crime.
